Section A hill ponies determined through microsatellite and SNP investigation
Positions held: After completing her MSc
Emily took up a number of temporary positions and has
just enrolled on to our PGCE course to train as a secondary school science
teacher.

MSc Livestock Science
Recipient – Hannah Earle Payne
Thesis title: Effect of elevated B-hydroxybutyrate concentrations on
reproduction and production traits in dairy cows
Positions held: After completing her MSc Hannah
took up the position of Lecturer in Animal Science at Oatridge College which is part
of SRUC (Scottish Rural Colleges)
Academic Year 2015/2016 -
MSc Managing the Environment
Recipient – Gruffydd Lloyd Jones
Thesis title: Identifying the Toxic legacy of chemicals introduced into the
soil by Rhododendron ponticum L.
Positions held: After completing his MSc
Gruffydd went straight into a PhD here at Aberystwyth
University investigating the effects of rhododendrons on soil processes

MSc Livestock Science
Recipient – Daniel Stout
Thesis title: Carcass loin conformation and condition in purebred Texel lambs
Positions held: Daniel has just submitted
his dissertation for his MSc, the result will be known in
December but there is every expectation that he will do well. Daniel has yet to
secure a job as he has only just completed his dissertation, but he is aiming to
return to Orkney/Scotland to work as an advisor in animal production.
